Preparation Instructions:
Earl from Rehoboth Beach Delaware sent us this insanely delicious grilled watermelon rind relish cheddar burger recipe. To get started, first you will want to fire up your backyard grill. Grease your grill grate with the extra virgin olive oil. Once your grill has attained a medium heat, toss on your thick seasoned hamburger patties. Cook your patties for several minutes per side, or until they reach a desired doneness. While they are grilling, smother them on both sides with your thick and spicy BBQ sauce. When the hamburger is just about finished, lay a slice of Tillamook cheddar cheese on each, and lightly melt the cheese. Once your hamburger patties with cheese have been cooked, place them on a sesame seed hamburger bun, then layer on some mayonnaise and watermelon rind relish, all sprinkled with your black pepper. Top that off with a slice of fresh tomato, place the top bun on, and you are ready to munch down on your burger. With regard to the watermelon rind relish, you can either create some using our recipe, or you can use store bought watermelon rind relish.
